P1eces of a Whole Lotta Fun

P1Harmony was our first concert of 2023, and apparently it was a great time (I had just had back surgery but insisted on attending but sadly the pain killers I was on made it an unfortunately forgettable night) so when they announced a 2024 tour we knew we had to do a take 2! We got pretty good seats, and although the closest to us was a good 4 hours away we knew it would be worth it.

P1harmony is a fun group with a sassy Canadian leader, a semi responsible hyung, a quiet but deadly rapper, the only well behaved one, an alien and a rapper prodigy. If it sounds like chaos to you congrats you got the vibe. Their songs are catchy, they are hilarious- not to mention talented and super energetic on stage. Unfortunately for us, Jiung was out due to an injury at our stop, but the show must go on!

The Anthem in DC is another really great smaller venue right on the water- so even in the heat of summer the breeze was refreshing. Tons of safe parking nearby and TONS of food options right outside the venue. The venue inside is really cool- industrial vibes with ample bars and good food (not just boring stadium fare). Another venue with not a single bad seat in the house!

For this concert we opted for VIP tickets, which included soundcheck, meet and greet (which sadly the venue turned into a high wave only), early entry access, and early merch access with VIP only merch.

Soundcheck was short- but Keeho was sassy as ever and it was getting us pumped for a good night even after a long car ride. The concert itself started with a literal bang, and one I was sure my heart returned to normal I was able to fully immerse myself in the songs and sing my little heart out. Song after song I screamed until I couldn’t make a noise. P1harmony is ALWAYS energetic and fun on stage! We got solo stages (all of which were totally unique to that member and absolutely perfectly done) and after a few hours it was sadly over.

The only downside to this show was the meet and greet turned into high wave, which we had to wait about 2 hours for. Not well organized and I wasn’t able to even say hi as the venue had the line moving through at an outrageous pace- but that is not a reflection on the group at all since I know it wasn’t up to them. I still got to “meet” them although the only memorable thing about me was a giant bruise on my head from work and the strangled squeaks I let out in excitement as I waved and walked by (I never should have watched the video with sound on). Thankfully I don’t think I will be memorable enough to the members so I could in the future redeem myself.

Will always be excited to see them in concert, and thankful one member is fluent in English so he can not only translate and give us super great ments, but also so he can be sassy with us (which he takes full advantage of and I expect nothing less)
