Stray Kids Make Stray Kids STAY

Stray Kids has been a lot of fans gateway drug into Kpop since coming onto the scene in 2018. Formed via a reality show, JYP let Chan (a veteran trainee) pick members to create his group, whose name refers to a lost child who wants to chase their dreams. The process was grueling and it was not without tears that we finally got the full lineup. Debuting in 2018 as a 9 member group, they released album after album and MANY music videos to gain fan’s attention and praise. In 2019, Kim Woojin left the group for personal reasons but thankfully the remaining 8: Bahng “Christopher” Chan, Lee Minho aka Lee Know, Seo Changbin, Hwang Hyunjin, Han Jisung, Lee Youngbok aka Felix, Kim Seungmin, and Yang Jeongin aka I.N have continued on to become the global superstars we know today.

They are very accomplished for their age as the subunit of producers in the group named “3Racha” write and compose a lot of their music (and have started doing so for other groups as well! 3Racha consists of Stray Kid’s leader Chan, Changbin, and Han- going by the aliases CB97, SpearB, and J.One respectively.

Their characters (SKZOO) are equal parts adorable and chaotic, a good match to the groups overall energy and consist of:

Chan’s Wolfchan (a good leading wolf)

Lee Know’s Leebit (a mischievous rabbit)

Changbin’s Dwaekki (a buff pig/rabbit hybrid)

Hyunjin’s Jiniret (a tall, lithe dancing ferret)

Han’s HanQuokka (an adorable and friendly quokka)

Felix’s Bbokari (a cute and bright chick)

Seungmin’s PuppyM (self explanatory puppy)

I.N’s FoxI.Ny (a fennec fox, which is I.N’s look alike!)

Stray Kids not only have a large multitude of albums, mini albums, singles, and holiday hits but also release a LOT of music videos- from fun behind the scenes shoots to seriously amazing cinematic pieces that tell some cool stories. Their Japanese releases also hit hard and should not be ignored! If you haven’t already check out some of their title tracks like God’s Menu, Thunderous, ChkChk Boom, and Walking on Water.

Like most Idol groups they also are active on social media (Instagram and TikTok)

and have their own YouTube show (which is always hilarious) called SKZ Code.
